Samarkand State Medical University is the oldest medical university in Central Asia founded in May 1930 by the Folk’s Commissars of Uzbekistan. Yes, an MBBS degree from Uzbekistan is globally recognized. One can practice as a doctor in Pakistan after passing a compulsory NLE test (recommended by PMC).

Is the NRC exam mandatory for Uzbek MBBS graduates in Pakistan?

Yes, according to PM&DC’s current policy, the NRC exam is mandatory for every student who has studied MBBS abroad. 

How many days are required for admission and visa processing?

Approx. 15 to 20 working days are required to complete the process. (Admission Letter, invitation letter, documents translation & visa processing).

Can I pay my semester fee in instalments?

No, because these universities receive fees and other dues on a semester basis.

How much does a ticket cost to Uzbekistan?

90K to 110K Rupees Approximately.

What are the charges for consulting services?

What and how much currency should students have while travelling?

Students pay their fees in USD. We advise all the students to carry the first-semester’ fee & other mentioned dues with them.

The university has its own govt. hostels located nearby (1km far from main campus approx.). All hostels are fully furnished, centrally heated and equipped. There are separate arrangements for boys and girls.
